Alice Brown, age 86, of Warrior, AL passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Alice was a devoted mother to her five children, and loved her family above all else in her life. She loved to cook. Everyone loved her chili! Her chicken & dressing was the best, and will probably be famous someday. She was an early fashionista and loved to have her hair and makeup "just right." Her fashion sense and style was second to none. She was grit and glamour and a firecracker all in one. Alice was a hard worker, and was a pioneer in the 60's as a women's small business owner with Alice's Barber Shop. She even once cut Michael Jackson's hair! She raised five kids as a single mother and made sure they had what they needed. She was a lifelong Christian and loved the Lord, who she is now walking beside in paradise. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Bert H. and Annie Mae McDonald; son, Timothy Russell "Rusty" Robinson; grandson, Steve Allen Robinson; seven brothers, Bert, Norman, J.W., Toney, Shirell, Sherman and Frank; and five sisters, Rena, Rachel, Lila, Bessie Ruth, and Ethyl. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Robinson, Charles (Charlotte) Robinson, and Adam Brown; daughter, Vickie (Jerry) Simmons; grandchildren, Carlie Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Sky Robinson, Layne (Lena) Simmons, Brandon (Andrea) Simmons, Cody (Caroline) Simmons, Jon (Brooke) Robinson, Ryan Robinson, Joshua Brown, Jacob Brown, and Joseph Brown; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy McDonald; and sisters, Gloria Saffold and Diane Morris. A visitation for Alice will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Sunday, July 24, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Sunday, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
