Alta Virginia "Granny" McKinney, 88, passed away in her home on July 17, 2022.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Alfred McKinney.
She was survived by her daughters, Freida (Jacky) Baldwin and Rebecca Jafarzadeh; grandchildren, Alicia Baldwin and Kristen (Justin) Oden; and great-grandson, Jaxon Oden.
She left behind a host of family and friends that each have their own treasured memories from her 88 vibrant years of life.
She loved her Calvary Baptist church family and became an almost perfect disciple for the shut in and the homeless, always thinking of new ways to serve each. Her passion for feeding really began after she raised her girls and retired from Norwood Clinic. God's earth is better for it. She made hundreds of sandwiches every month to be taken downtown. She made hospice bags, totes, toboggans and on and on for those in need. If you were hungry and she knew it or thought it a food drop-off was coming your way.
A visitation for Mrs. McKinney will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a graveside service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Earl Goode and Bro. Brad Lindsay to officiate.
