Annie Inez Phillips, age 95, Morris, AL, passed peacefully to her eternal rest November 3, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nettie Oliver; first husband, Edward Anderson; second husband, J.V. Phillips. She is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Ann Angle; several great nieces and nephews; other beloved family and friends. Inez worked for many years in the lunchroom at Mortimer Jordan High School. She was a talented singer, enjoying several years with a trio at Kimberly Church of God, where she attended church for a number of years. She also attended Mount Olive Church of God. Inez loved to fish. She had a sweet sense of humor; Inez was kind, loving, and giving towards everyone. She referred to herself as a "tough old bird." The family wishes to offer a special thank you to Inez's dear friend, Pam. She went above and beyond, sacrificed, and showed great diligence to take care of Inez. A visitation will be held in the chapel, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow directly after visitation.
