Barbara Lee Holt (Tucker), age 81, of Hayden, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on November 2, 2023.  Mrs. Holt was born on October 30, 1942, in Blount Springs, Alabama.  She was the youngest child of Earl Elbert and Alice Mae Bradberry Tucker.

Mrs. Holt was married to James Marcell Holt on December 16, 1961, and was married for 40 years at the time of Mr. Holt's passing on July 31, 2002.  Barbara spent her career as a faithful employee of Carraway Methodist Medical Center.  She was awarded many service pins during her thirty plus years of employment, prior to Carraway's closing in October of 2008.

She is survived by her son, Mark Jerome Holt and wife Donna, of Hayden; her daughter, Cindy Holt Ingram and husband John, of Arab; and one granddaughter, Marcella "Ella" Ingram, whose grandmother always affectionately referred to her as "Pumpkin" to all family and friends.

The family has requested a private viewing.  A public graveside service will be held at Graves Gap Cemetery in Hayden on Sunday, November 5, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Denny Armstrong will be officiating the committal service under the direction of Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home.
