She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Harold Jones; daughters, Sharon (Ed Stacey) Camp; Vicki (Bruce) Heron; daughter-in-law, Frances Jones; grandchildren, Brandi Taylor, April (Justin) Daugherty, Heather (Charlie) Kemp, Andrew (Bailey) Gillreath-Brown, Holly (Jordan) Ware, Mandi (Sloan Williams) Jones; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Taylor, Landon Daugherty, Taylor Kemp, Cody Taylor, Mallory Kemp, Autumn Daugherty, Jackson Taylor, Levi Ware, Caroline Kemp, Liam Ware, Wilder Gillreath-Brown, Riley Williams, Sylvie Gillreath-Brown.
Bertha loved fishing at the lake, and being at the beach. Taking long, brisk walks on the beach was a pleasure for her. She was an avid bowler, and loved it! Her famous saying was, "If you want to bowl better, roll a better ball!" She adored her grandchildren, and loved having them spend the night, and playing games with them. She and Harold went to as many ballgames, bowling, dance recitals, track meets as they could as the grands grew up. Watching baseball with Harold was a favorite pass-time, especially the Atlanta Braves, and of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide.
She instilled in her children and grandchildren to love the Lord and attend church. She was a good singer of hymns. Even on beach trips, where all the family went, we had church at the beach on Sunday mornings.
