Billy John Stover, age 83, of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Wilma Stover; his beloved wife, Delores "Sissy" Stover. He is survived, daughters; Tammy Stover and Stacey Stover Headrick (Randal); grandchildren: Brian Henderson, Kaci Pierce- Jensen (Markum), Ashley Ranson, Amanda Headrick. Samantha Headrick Craven (David), Jacob Darty (Ellen), and Cody Headrick; great-grandchildren, Brody Henderson, Barrett Henderson, Preslee Ranson, Kaiden Pierce, Nova Craven, Charlie Craven and Penelope Craven; and brother, Jerry Stover (Mary).

Billy was an avid turkey hunter and could cook the BEST ribs and Boston Butts! Daddy was a kind, loving man with a great sense of humor. Family was everything to him. He loved hunting, fishing and watching Alabama football. Most of all, he enjoyed playing with his grandkids. He was the best Daddy we could ever ask for, and a great protector.

Billy worked at Goslin-Birmingham for 35 years, and then as a welder and plant supervisor for Glenn and Wright, where he worked until retirement. He gave welding seminars in his late years. Billy was married to his high school sweetheart for 61 years before her passing in 2020. Daddy and Momma are now together again.

A graveside service will be held in Warrior Cemetery on Tuesday, April 15th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment of Mr. Billy Stover's ashes will begin immediately following the graveside funeral service.
