Mr. Blake Holland, age 100, of Graysviile, Alabama, passed peacefully away Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coalson and Lena Holland; sister, Dulcine Hampton. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Ozelle Holland; son, Stephen Holland (Mary); daughters, Victoria Holland,  Janice Sheppell, Rhonda Kobylarz; stepson, James York (Janice); stepdaughter, Barbara Payne, Joyce Whitaker (Robert), Susan York (Darryl Warren).

Blake proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy chief petty officer.  During World War II, he served on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga, and participated in the Pacific fleet campaigns. He retired with over 20 years of service.

Being a lover of sports, Blake became a skilled golfer and an avid runner, continuing both well into his older years. He also was a a bird-watching enthusiast.

There will be a graveside service for Mr. Holland Sept. 26, 2023, at Corinth West Cemetery 2:00 PM.
