Bobby "Bob" Gilbert, age 81, of Morris, Alabama, passed to his eternal home Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Gilbert; sister, Lola McCurry; brother, Tom Gilbert. He is survived by his sons, Jason (Angeline) Gilbert, Shawn (Lori) Gilbert; daughter, Lorri (Wayne) Wallace; grandchildren, Hannah (Justin) Phillips, Jordan Quick, Tatum Gilbert, Emilee Gilbert, Zack (Abigail) Wallace; great-grandchildren, Norah Phillips, Marleigh Wallace, Berkleigh Wallace.

Bob was married to Mamie for 46 years. He was a loving father to three children, and a great Poppa to five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bob touched countless lives with his humor and giving spirit. After 35 years at Acipco, Bob spent his time enjoying his family, traveling, and Alabama football.

A visitation will be held in the chapel at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Wednesday, March 22 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel Thursday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Gardendale, AL.
