Obituary

Bobby Keith Hardiman, age 82, of Trafford, AL, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Bobby was the spitting image of his mother. He was a respected leader of his family, channeled after his beloved mother. He was kind-hearted, selfless, honest, loyal, loving and dedicated. He was strong, determined, protective and stubborn in the most supportive and loving way possible. He loved his bride of 61 years and his children with pride and passion. His family came first always. Bobby loved Alabama football, as he was an avid fan. He loved hunting and preparing for the hunt with his brother, Kirby. He enjoyed lawn work and planting his garden. He also loved watching birds on the front and back porch in his rocking chair. He was most comfortable at home in his recliner, watching football or old western movies. He was the pillar of strength and endured more than anyone should in a lifetime. He had morals and values and he lived by them and taught them. He lived a long, hard, rewarding life, and he fought hard for it. We are thankful that his ultimate and final reward is to watch over his family from Heaven with his mother, brother, and loved ones who went before him. He was known as "the King" here on earth and he wears his crown now eternally. He will never be forgotten. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Opal "Ma" Hardiman; and brother, Owen Hardiman. He is survived by his wife, Jane Hardiman; son, Scott Hardiman (Denise); daughter, Hollie Hardiman Montgomery; grandchildren, Stephanie Hardiman Simon (Michael), Matthew Hardiman (Korinne), Hunter Hardiman Montgomery, Cade Hardiman Montgomery and Madison Hardiman Montgomery; one great-grandchild, Jackson Taylor Hardiman; brothers, Tony Hardiman (Carole Jo), Dennis Hardiman (Gail), Dale Hardiman (Xonnie), and Kirby Hardiman (Rhonda); as well as a HUGE host of cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation for Bobby will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 30, in the funeral home chapel, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Elvester Cemetery.
