Robert "Bobby" Arnold Hill, age 85, of Warrior, Alabama passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, whose proudest accomplishments in this life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bobby was always ready and willing to help others, whether it was by lending a hand when needed, offering a word of encouragement in tough times, or just making everyone laugh with his jokes. Those he loved know just how deeply he loved, and how his fun-loving personality could brighten the darkest of days. Bobby's favorite hobbies were hunting, gathering junk, and most of all.. aggravating EVERYONE! He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, James "Dock" Hill and Margaret Hill Elrod; and sister, Nancy Westmoreland. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Hill; children, Tom Hill, Karen (Robert) Freeman, Lisa (Butch) Nilcholson, and Barry (Anne) Hill; grandchildren: Coley (Braxton) Hicks, Nicole (Josh) Cornelius, Emily (Aaron) Fowler, Kris Wesley, Ashley Freeman and Lindsay Hardiman; future grandson-in-law, Dalton Smith; and great-grandchildren: Baylee Hill, Colton Hicks, Caylyn Hicks, Brynlee Hicks, Brooklyn Cornelius, Waylon Fowler, Miles Cornelius, and Finley Cornelius.
A visitation for Bobby will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday evening, August 8, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Elvester Baptist Church the following day, Friday, August 9, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Warrior Cemetery.
