Bobby Nelson Meadows, age 82, of Warrior, AL suddenly left this walk of life on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was a member at Kimberly Church of God for 55 years, and a past Elder of the church. Mr. Meadows retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after 37 years as an Accounting Supervisor, where he received The President's Award for Excellence. He retired in July of 2002 as Senior Chief in the U.S. Navy, after serving for 28 years and receiving the NAMC Achievement Medal three times, a Navy Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Navel Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, and an Armed Forces Reserve Medal.

Mr. Meadows is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ruth Meadows; nephew, Jade Alan Crane; and brother-in-law, Charlie Spears.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Doss Meadows of Warrior, AL; his brother, Don (Marlene) Meadows of Morris, AL; sister, Margaret Spears of Panama City Beach, FL; sisters-in-law, Linda Butler and Barbara (Ronald) Lucas; nephews, Kevin (Tina) Meadows and Keith (Michelle) Meadows, Kevin (Debbie) Butler and Jason (Kristi) Butler; niece, April (Mark) Ponder; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his lifelong friends Larry (Brenda) Morton, Jimmie (Cindy) McAnnally, Joe (Audrey) Thornton, Cierra Thornton and Tyler Thornton.

A visitation for Mr. Meadows will be held at Kimberly Church of God on Saturday, July 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Graveside military honors and interment at Stewart's Chapel Cemetery in Warrior, AL, following the funeral service.
