Obituary

Clifton Britt Harris, age 64, of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Britt was a loving and humble friend to all who knew him, and he never met a stranger. Whether it be the convenience store clerk or the workers at the vet where he took the dogs everybody knew and loved Britt. He would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar to help someone out if he thought they needed it. Britt talked slow and drove slower, and he will be remembered for taking his dogs everywhere with him. He was a lover of animals and pets, and over the course of his life, he always had several and a variety. Britt's beloved Nyla, the squirrel being the most memorable and dear to his heart. Like everyone, he had his faults and made mistakes, but he had a heart of gold. To know him was to love him because you genuinely knew that he cared about you, too. Britt was a jokester and loved a good laugh. His childlike spirit could lift anyone up and always had a funny off-color comment to get everyone rolling. Britt was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He liked to fish and in earlier years being involved with his son's baseball teams. He loved his family and reminiscing about old times. Britt was never the same after the passing of the love of his life and soulmate, his wife, Bobbie. He looked forward to all holidays, with his favorite being Thanksgiving. He could drive you crazy waiting on the turkey. Britt enjoyed his college football on Saturday and NASCAR on Sunday. His favorite movie of all time was the Christmas tale. 'It's a Wonderful Life.' Britt would agree that his life was just that, wonderful.

Britt was preceded in death by the love of his life, Bobbie Ann Bankston; father, Clifton A. Harris, Sr.; and brother, Clifton A. Harris, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Billie Jane Kelley; children, Misty Harris Ford (Dewayne) and BJ Harris (Krystal); grandkids, Reanna, Kyleigh and Brody Harris; special daughter, Candice Caldwell (Bobby); special grandsons, Dalton and Dusty Caldwell; and sisters, Neisa Gooch (Dale) and Tammy Smith (Randy).
