Byron Ray Heath, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2026 surrounded by those who loved him.

Born on July 4, 1950, Byron was raised in Bradford, Alabama, where he built a life grounded in faith, hard work, and dedication to his family. He spent over 40 years working as a mechanic, known for his reliability, skill, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He was a devoted member of Bethel Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mona Lisa Myrick Heath; his mother, Maxine Hannah Heath; his youngest son, Matthew Zachary Heath; his niece, Susan Doss; and his sister, Angie Heath Doss.

He is survived by his son, Jason Heath and wife Susan; his cherished granddaughters, Brooklyn Leigh Heath, Hailey Renee Ross, Grandson, Nicholas Osborn and wife Catherine, and great-grandson Roman Slatton; Nephew, Terry Doss; Neice, Michelle Doss Gilley. along with other family and many friends who will remember him for his steady presence, quiet strength, and unwavering love for all those around him.

Byron's life was defined by simple but meaningful things—hard work, loyalty, and love for those closest to him—and those qualities will live on in the family he leaves behind.

He will be cremated and laid to rest beside his beloved wife at Bethel Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.

There will be a celebration of life on May 2nd at 4pm at Bethel Community Church on Thermal Road in Bradford, Alabama.
