Calvin Carlton Cato, age 66, of Morris, AL, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Calvin lived life to the fullest. He loved his family, building Hot Rods, fishing, and just having a great time. He was an outgoing, kind-hearted person that would help anyone and give anyone the benefit of the doubt when it came to friendship. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis E. and Esther Lee Cato; and siblings, Curtis "Booger" Cato Jr., Barbara Foster, and Greg Cato. He is survived by his children, David (Codie) and Jessica Cato; grandchildren, Canaan Elijah Cato, Alexander Wade Cato, and Madison Jade Burgett; sisters, Anita (Ralph) Foster and Rita (Eric) Higginbotham; as well as nieces and nephews, Randy Doss, Scott Foster, Holly Wiggins, Steven Doss, Anthony Foster, Craig Foster, and Angela Abney, and their families. A visitation for Mr. Cato will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 21, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held the same day at Providence Cemetery, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Frankie Harris to officiate.
