Carl Asberry Toon, age 45, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. Carl was born on July 2, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Beggs, Oklahoma and lived briefly in Stockton, California as a teen before moving to Alabama. Carl was a true Okie, skilled craftsman and family man. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved his football teams. He spent most of his Saturdays in teh fall cheering on the "BOOMER SOONERS" and yelling "ROLL TIDE!" During his spare time, he could be found outside working on their small homestead or on one of his many projects. Carl was very good with his hands. His woodworking skills have brought joy to so many who have been blessed to receive one of his creations. He loved his family so much. His siblings meant the world to him. He enjoyed sharing memories of growing up in Oklahoma with Brantlee and Braylen. He adored his "Princess" and his little "Bubby." This last year he got to spend much more time with his wife and kids on many of their camping trips. You could always find him relaxing in his chair drinking a cup of coffee.

Carl fought all of his life with physically debilitating ailments and illnesses. His body and soul had been weakened by his many battles. The last few years were particularly hard on him and his family. But together, they persevered. With the loving support of his faithful wife, Amanda, he was able to keep going. Even though he struggled, he never quit. Everything he went through in life was only temporary. Carl's grief and sorrows are a distant memory. They all "came to pass." The sufferings he endured came and then they passed. We can rejoice in thanksgiving! He has entered with a glorified body into the Heavenly place where peace abounds.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Judy; and brothers, Tommy, Jimmy and Baby Markus. He is survived by his wife, Amanda; children, Brantlee and Braylen; siblings, Gerald (Mary), Eliza, Kathy and Geraldine; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Carl will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
