Carlton Kilgore, known affectionately as "Fudd" by his family, friends and co-workers, passed away on October 24, 2024.

Carl was a very hard worker, who spent his money wisely and carefully, and was very generous in his giving. A number of years ago, I expressed to Carl my concern about others taking advantage of his generous heart. I will never forget his response, "Stanley, I'm not responsible for the gifts that I give to others." I never questioned his giving again. The last few months of his life has caused us to discuss many important things, but the most important subject was his relationship with Jesus Christ. The past few days, Carl assured both Lynn and I that he was ready and waiting on his departure with no fear. I'm grateful for this opportunity to conduct one final good deed for him.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Kilgore; son, Stevy Mustgrove; grandson, Jared Spahn; parents, Arnell "Buddy" and Johnnie Bee Kilgore; and siblings, Larry Chuba, Neal Kilgore, Patricia (Thurston) Kilgore. Carlton Kilgore, went to Heaven to meet his wife Becky and grandson Jared.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Jeff) Spahn; brothers, Eddie, Stanley, Wayne and David Kilgore; grandchildren, Destiny, Summer, Levi, Cameron, Tyler, Holly, Jeffrey, Ashley and Lottie; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A visitation for Carl will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Elvester Cemetery in Warrior.
