Carol Ann Vines, age 53, of Trafford, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021. Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and loved her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Sudie McClellan, and Cleo Poper; nephew, Tyler Standridge; stepmother, Eleanor Poper; and stepfather, Tommy Myrick. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn Myrick; father, James Poper; sons, Jeffrey Purcell and Jonathon (Nikki) Purcell; grandchildren, Hadleigh and Remi; sisters, Debra Standridge and Toni Purcell; nephews, Allen (Christina) Burks, Brandon (Christy) Standridge as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation for Carol will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, April 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Liberty Minter Cemetery.
