Carolyn Marie Barnett of Hanceville, Ala. passed away on Wednesday, July 1, at the age of 80.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Young and Christine Thrift; husband, Gene Barnett; and siblings, Jeff Barnett and Delaney Young.

She is survived by her siblings, Jimmy Young (Sylvia), Jane Phillips, Lynn Young, Joe Young (Jan), Theresa Rose, and Barbara Sharritt (Jeff); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, July 3. Public visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Hayden.
