With deep love and sorrow we announce the passing of Cassandra Faye Lanning, who peacefully passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 57.

Born on August 13, 1968, in Birmingham, Sandra lived a life filled with love, compassion and dedication to family and friends. She was known for her warm heart, unwavering strength, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.

She found joy in spending time with her family and treasured every moment spent with them. Weather through her laughter, silliness, wisdom, or comforting presence, she touched countless lives and created memories that will be cherished forever. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the love she shared in the legacy she leaves behind. Her compassion, resilience, and gentle spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Juanita White; and brother, Chuck White.

She is survived by her husband, Rex DeWayne Lanning; daughters, Krissy Deerman (Chip), Amy Goodwin (Wesley), and Gina King (Nick); grandchildren, Christian, Kaylee & Axel Deerman, Michael & Gabriel Goodwin, and Alexia Early; sister, Joyce Culwell (Stan); sisters-in-law, Wanda White, Annette Wickert (Steve), and Jean Childers (Kenneth); as well as a whole host of nieces and nephews, all of whom Sandra loved dearly.

A memorial service will possibly be held at a later date.
