Chase Alan Murray, born July 11, 1997, of Hayden, Ala. passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 28.

Chase leaves behind his wife, Lindsey; daughter, McKenzie; newborn son, Clay Alan; mom and dad, Kellie & Matt Murray; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jeff & Becky Lucas; siblings, Joel Murray (Macey), Anna Massey (Cole) and Drew Fredrick; sister-in-law, Macy Lucas; nephews, Cooper and Briggs Massey; grandparents, Larry & Claudette McKeever; LaWanda & Tom Bradley and Christine & Rusty Fowler; aunts and uncles, Kim Brakefield & family, Kris Lunceford & family, Beth Harper & family, Adam Fredrick & family, Mandy Daughdrill & family, Kelley Reynolds & family, and Cindy Gilliland & family, as well as many other aunts and uncles, cousins, friends and work family, all of whom loved him dearly.

The visitation and funeral service will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday evening, April 16, 2026. The family will receive guests in the chapel of the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 7:00, with Bro. Randy Cater officiating.

If you plan to order flowers to be delivered for the family, keep in mind that this service is being held prior to cremation. Since there will not be a grave to cover with traditional floral stands, we recommend sending live potted plants, bouquets, or other small floral arrangements that will be easy for the family to transport home following the funeral service Thursday evening.
