Mrs. Cheryl Abel, age 78, of Warrior, Alabama, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home October 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie (Bill) Morrow; father, Harlis Johnson; brothers, Harry and Harlis Johnson, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Abel; daughter, Michelle Abel; son Alvin (Reginia) Abel, Jr.; Patrick Abel; daughter,  Dawn White (Johnny); son, Chris Abel; grandchildren; Ben (Brittany) Wright, Kayla (Tyler) Moore, Hannah (Seth) Keymon; Harry Abel; Angel (Zac) James; Rudy (Jaden) White; Jennifer Kellum; Maleah Abel, Nikki Abel; greatgrandchildren,  along with a host of many beloved family members.

Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, and nanny. She loved her family with everything in her. Cheryl spent many years serving in church as children's pastor. She retired from St. Vincent's Hospital after 26 years of service. Cheryl enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm.  Interment will be at Elvester Cemetery following.
