Christian Simmons, age 36, of Hayden, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Christian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Jan Browning, and Earskine Simmons. He is survived by his children, Tripp Simmons and Landin Simmons; parents, Dewayne and Melanie Simmons; sister, Mallorie Pridmore (Ryan); nephews, Griffin and Grady Pridmore; grandmother, Mary Simmons; aunts, Bebe McCool (Jim), Carla Burnett (Gil) and Angela Morrison (Jason); as well as a host of extended family members. Christian was full of fun and adventure. Anyone who met Christian quickly learned that there are always laughs to be shared. It was impossible to spend time with him without enjoying a gut-busting laugh at some point in the conversation. In school, Christian was known as the class clown. He was always striving to make everyone laugh. Christian's greatest accomplishments were his boys: Tripp and Landin. Time spent with his sons was always held close to his heart. Christian's prayer is that his
two sons will be his greatest legacy. Christian always mentioned that he was so proud of Danielle, the boy's mom, and their stepdad, Blake, because of their positive influence on Tripp and Landin's lives. Christian was always in search of happiness. He had a heart of gold and a smile that was contagious. He was loved by a BIG family. We know that Christian has not only found happiness, but he has also found JOY… the Joy of seeing Jesus. A visitation for Christian will be held at Cane Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, January 26, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Harold Donald and Bro. Chris Chambless to officiate. Interment to follow at Cane Creek Cemetery.
