Christopher Martin Payton, age 47, of Empire, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. He was a carpenter by trade. A loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He had a huge heart and kind soul, and would give you the shirt off his back. The world has lost an angel. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Ann and Kenneth Payton. He is survived by his wife, Kristi Corbin; daughters, Amber Payton, Grace Payton, Novaleigh Payton, Kayla Lemmerman, and Morgan Lemmerman; sons, Chase Blevins and Brett Mulhall;grandkids, Lucas Payton, Carter Green, Alyja Green and Ryker Green; sisters, Lorrie Payton and Angie Sawyer; and brother, Mike Payton. A memorial service for Christopher will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m.
