Cornelia Margaret "Margie" Haney, age 79, of Hayden, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, 5:07 p.m. at Cullman Regional Medical Center. Cornelia was born November 19, 1944 in Haywood County, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John E. Haney, Sr.; her siblings Brenda Lee Fuller and Johnny L. Fuller; her parents Katie Lurella Long and John Fuller; and her grandparents Willie Frances and Floyd Long.

She is survived by her children Connie M. Haney Bullard (Jeff), John E.Haney Jr. (Reneigh), Ronald E. Haney (Elaine), Billy W. Haney (Jennifer), Johnathon C. Haney, and Savanna N. Haney; grandchildren Amanda Conn, Allison Bullard, John Haney III, Jacob Haney, Jennifer Haney, Eeron Haney, Travis Haney, Jewelianna Haney, and Britney Smith; several great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings Frances Ruth Butterworth and Joseph Adkins.

Cornelia especially will be remembered for her beautiful voice, smile, and love that she gave to everyone. Rest in peace, Mother, we will always love you.

An evening visitation will be held for Mrs. Haney at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held the following day, also at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home, beginning at noon. Immediately after the funeral service everyone will reconvene at Sulphur Springs Cemetery for the committal service and interment.
