Dale Allen Smith, age 65, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Born in England, Dale was a "military brat" and went on to serve in the United States Army himself from 1974- 1976. He was a loving and devoted husband. He was a follower of Christ, a father, a grandfather, brother, uncle, SS teacher, and friend to all. He was the best man at diplomacy and he never met a stranger. He had no enemies. His granddaughters adored him. Today he is walking the streets of gold, praising his Savior. Now he is reconnecting with his son, Brian, his brother, Steve, and his friend, Mike. He will forever be missed. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Billie Ray Smith; son, Brian Lee Smith; and brother, Steven Wayne Smith. He is survived by his mother, Marie (Jim) Wilson; wife, Lisa Smith; son, Eric Smith (Mandy); granddaughters, Kayla Jackson (Daniel), Isabella Smith (Cameron Blake), Briana Smith (Gage Stufflebeme); grandson, Tyler Turner (Courtney Lipford); and brothers, Kenny White, Chuck White, and Bill Smith. A visitation for Dale will be held at Hayden First Baptist Church on Friday, April 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the building fund at Hayden First Baptist.
