David Garrett Kilgore, age 21, of Cleveland, AL, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Garrett was a loving, kind and precious son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing, video games and just hanging out with his friends and family. Garrett was preceded in death by his dad, David Lee Kilgore; grandparents, Arnel Kilgore, Johnnie Kilgore, Beverly Kilgore, and David Hicks; great-uncle, Neil Kilgore; and great-aunt, Pat Kilgore. He is survived by his mother, Amy Diane Hicks (AJ); brother, Rashod Roden; grandfather Wayne Kilgore; uncles, Larry Kilgore (Stacy), Carl Kilgore and Brandon Hicks; great-uncles Eddie, David, and Stanley Kilgore (Lynn); aunt, Lisa Scott; great-aunt Edna; grandmother, Diane Scott; great-grandmother, Ruby Scott; nieces, Kaylin and Addison Kilgore; cousins Ahnna Harding and Paisley Higginbotham; cousins who he considered brothers, Cameron Harding, Drake Higginbotham, and Chase Higginbotham; his beloved dogs, Yogi-Man and Buster; as well as many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation for Garrett will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 24, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00. Interment to follow at Elvester Cemetery.
