David Alan Myers, age 73, of Hanceville, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Written by the love of his life, Sherry: Dave and I met in 1991. He was outgoing, and liked to travel to the beach and mountains. Later on in years he was more laid back. Dave worked at R.E. Garrison for 20+ years. He took great pride in his work, and was honest with his drivers and always fair. Dave's greatest accomplishment in life, though, was making sure his son had the best education he could get. He loved to watch Michael play ball, he was his pride and joy. The thing I love most about Dave, is he always tried to make sure we not only had what we needed, but also what we wanted. Dave could be hard to get along with on one hand.. but so sweet on the other. I came to realize it was just Dave being Dave. We were together 31 wonderful years, and were very blessed!! Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Eugene Myers and Mary Evelyn Will Myers. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Reno Myers; sons, Michael Myers, Nick Myers, Brandon Myers, Doug Reno, and Aaron Barber; brother, Gary Myers; as well as 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A visitation for Mr. Myers will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday, March 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Stanley Owensby to officiate. Interment to follow at County Line Cemetery.
