David Lee Woolary of Locust Fork, Alabama, left this world to be with his Father in Heaven on January 4, 2021. David Woolary was survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Katy Lane Head Woolary, his children, Janet Laine Woolary Lamont (Ross), Jamie Ellen Woolary Watkins (James), and Jennifer Lynn Woolary Ackenbrack (Michael), six grandchildren, John David Woolary (Tiffany), James Lee Watkins III, Wesley Ross Lamont, Jason Bradley Watkins, Whitney Laine Lamont Eiland (Jacob), Kaitlin Grace Money, nine great-grandchildren, Summer Rashea Steedley, Aiden Joshua Money, Seth David-Daniel Woolary, James Lee Watkins IV, Isaac Floyd Watkins, Camryn Anne Money, Saylor Laine Eiland, Sophie Leigh Eiland, and Rylee Michelle Money, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Lee Money. He is also survived by his brother, John Daniel Woolary (Bonnie), 2 nieces, and 4 grand-nieces and nephews. David was a faithful member of Sugar Creek Church of Christ; Active duty United States Navy 1956 – 1959 in the Pacific fleet; employee and retired Southern Bell / Bellsouth 1960 – 1995; Pole Manager for Blount County Polls; volunteer fireman for over 40 years; and Red Cross blood donor of many gallons of blood over the years. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Sugar Creek Cemetery.
