Obituary

Deborah—known to most as Debby—was a loving, consistent, bold, loyal, and endlessly supportive woman who had a way of making the people she loved feel like they always had someone in their corner.

Debby loved her family fiercely and without hesitation. She was thoughtful in the little things, dependable when it mattered most, and never afraid to speak her mind. If you knew Debby, you knew exactly where you stood—and you also knew she would probably tell you exactly what she thought about it. That was part of her charm.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: online shopping, watching movies and game shows, and spending time with her family and her beloved grandbabies. And, of course, there was Gulf Shores, her favorite place to visit—a place where she could relax, make memories, and enjoy the people she loved most.

Debby took great pride in her family. Her proudest accomplishment was not something she could buy, win, or put on a shelf. It was the family she helped build and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She cherished every moment with them, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

She will be remembered for her big heart, her unwavering loyalty, her strength, her humor, and the way she showed up for the people she loved. She leaves behind countless memories, stories, laughs, and probably a few things she ordered online that nobody quite understands why she needed.

But if we could tell the world just one thing about Debby, it would be this: She loved with her whole heart.

She loved her family completely, unapologetically, and without limits. That love will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to have been loved by her.

Debby may be gone from our sight, but the love she gave so freely will never leave us. And if there is online shopping in heaven, we have no doubt she's already got something in her cart.

Debby is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Olmstead; her children Jeffrey Olmstead (Tammy) and Chad Olmstead; grandchildren, Christina Olmstead Lawler (Joshua), Jordan Olmstead (Rachel), Bailey Olmstead (Natalie); her great grandchildren, Riley Lawler, Elisa Olmstead, and Declan Olmstead; her lifelong best friend, T'lene Barringer; and her beloved pet, Smidgen Olmstead.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Keron and Mary Riley Propst; her grandparents, Ulley and Ernestine Propst; and her sister, Donna Kay Propst.
