Debra Ann Balch, age 54, of Tarrant City, AL, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Debra was a loving mother, wife, grandma, and bonus mom to many of her children's friends. Her proudest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren. Debra's favorite things were dolphins, chickens, and "banana pudding." She loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. Her family loved most her laugh, her outlook on life, and her Mama Bear personality. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn Hembree Gosnell and Floyd Gosnell. She is survived by her husband, James Nichols Jr.; children, Connie Wesley, Kristin Balch (Joey West), Wesley Balch (Brittani), and Richard McCall (Miranda); grandchildren, Halona Wesley, Sadie, Destiny, Leland, Joseph, Ricky, Taylor, Skylar, Roman, Asa, and Max; and siblings, Tim Gosnell, Gladin Gosnell, Kenneth Gosnell, Russell Gosnell, Connie Smith, Donna Wood, Betty Gosnell, Peggy Bryant, Michelle Shepherd, and Lori Gosnell.  A visitation for Debra will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Elvester Cemetery.
