Debra Smith, age 56, of Trafford, Alabama, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Eldridge Cheatwood; mother, Helen Cheatwood; and uncle, Alton Cheatwood. She is survived by her husband, Gary Dunlap; daughter, Meagan Smith; sisters, Elaine Cheatwood and Donna Piteo; nieces, Susan Cheatwood and Ashley Piteo; nephew, Jason Piteo; aunt and uncle, Gloria and Bill Roberts; uncle, Happy Harold Cheatwood; aunt, Dana Popwell; as well as a host of cousins. A visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Sunday, January 5, from 12:00pm- 2:00pm, with funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
