Delores Ann (Dugan) Bankston, age 80, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026.

Delores Ann was born November 12, 1945, in Benton, Tennessee to Bud and Lillian Dugan. Delores was the oldest of six girls. She married the love of her life, Bob Bankston, in 1962, and they raised seven children together.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Bankston Sr.; father, Willie Edward Dugan; mother, Lillian Geneva Dugan; and three of her children, Buddy Roy Bankston, John David Bankston and Bobbie Ann Harris. She is survived by children, Robert Lee Bankston, Jr., Donna Hawkins (Ted), Shelia Wall, Carol McCay (Chris) and Micheal Bankston; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Darlene Johnson; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as her special friend, Danny Smith.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Waterstone Church on Saturday, April 25. The family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Jerrel Brown will be officiating. Interment to follow at Warrior Cemetery.
