On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Delores Scott Motte, age 76, passed away and went home to be with the Lord.

Delores was a member of Mt. High Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt whose life was centered on family. Delores was a strong, determined and loving woman whose presence brought comfort, guidance and warmth to others around her. She will be remembered for her fierce love, resilience and deep care that she showed for her family and friends. Her love and legacy will live on in all who knew her.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Motte; and parents, Walter B. and Juanita Scott. She is survived by her daughter, Daphanie Motte of Hayden; siblings, Luane Scott of Hayden, Penny Brooks (Eddie) of Odenville, Belinda Quinn (Monty) of Hayden, and Duane Scott (Meranda) of Hayden; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home in Warrior, Alabama. Family will visit on Tuesday, June 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and friends from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Dan Nichols.
