Dennis C. Bennett, 76, passed away surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Dennis and Patsy were married for an amazing 56 years.He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Trafford.  Dennis worked for and retired from Jefferson County Public Works.

He enjoyed being surrounded by his family.  Dennis loved to spend Saturdays watching his favorite football team, the Auburn Tigers.  Anyone that knows Dennis, knows he loved to patrol the streets of Trafford and hang out at Napa Auto Parts.

We will greatly miss seeing him give his thumbs up gesture that he gave everyone.

Dennis is preceded by his parents, Carl F. and Henrietta Bennett and brother, Gerald Bennett.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Bennett; son, Paul (Leann) Bennett; daughter, Brooke (Jeff) Mahaffey; grandchildren, Bellamy (Brandon) Corley, Hunter (Jessica) Mahaffey, Garrett (Savannah) Mahaffey, Mason Landers, Grace Ann Landers, and Brooklyn Landers; brother, Steve (Deb) Bennett and sister-in-law, Sandra Bennett, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on November 19, 2022 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service immediately following at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Trafford Memorial Gardens in Trafford.  Brother Pat Melvin to officiate.
