Donald Averon Chappell, Sr., age 82, of Warrior, AL passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was a loving father and grandfather, who loved camping and fishing. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Earsie and Maudie Chappell; and his wife, Judy Chappell. He is survived by his children Sandra, Brenda, Don (Sheila), Amanda and Scott Chappell; and grandchildren Ashley Goodwin, Brooke, Katelyn and Carson Chappell. A visitation for Mr. Chappell will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at noon. Bro. Paul Murphy to officiate. Interment to follow at New Bethel Cemetery.
