Donald Lee Ganus of Warrior, Ala. passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the age of 75.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis Luther Ganus and Ruby Lee Ganus; and sister, Ruby Eloise Connell (Hugh). He is survived by his sons, Brian Ganus (Abby) and Jeremy Ganus (Cicily); granddaughters, Avery, Caroline, Emily, Natalie and Baylee; brothers, Jimmy Ganus (Sandra) and Bill Ganus (Joan); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Donald was a member of Hayden First Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his five granddaughters and attending all of their events. Donald will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Mr. Ganus will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at noon. Bro. Keith Hudson will be officiating. Immediately following the funeral service, everyone will travel of their own accord to Oak Grove Cemetery, where we will all reconvene for a brief committal service prior to interment.
