Donald L. McCurry, age 54, of Hayden, AL, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie M. Greer and Otis. D. McCurry. He is survived by his siblings, Jeanette (Elton) Buford of Hayden, Marie (Randy) Robbins of Oneonta, John (J.C.) McCurry of Warrior, Danny Culwell of Hamilton, and Sandra Pugh of Nectar; children, Jason McCurry, Adam (Aydrian) McCurry, and Rebecca (Trey) Norton; eight grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A special mention and appreciation goes to his niece Rhonda Smith, nephew Joe Pugh, and two great-nephews, Hunter Smith and Joseph Pugh. Donald laid flooring for many years. He enjoyed gardening, playing his guitar, and working outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, reading his Bible, fishing, and watching Alabama football. He taught adult Sunday School for two years, and was active in the church plays. A graveside service at Elvester Cemetery will be held for Donald on Sunday, December 13, at 12:30 p.m.
