Donna Kay Hays, age 63, of Dora, AL passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and an accomplished country music singer/musician and nurse. Her hobbies included sewing and making flower arrangements. We loved her contagious laughter, listening to her play instruments, hearing her beautiful voice sing, and tasting her amazing cooking. Donna Kay was preceded in death by her father, Donald "Donnie" Robbins; and grandparents, Frelon Robbins, Flossie Robbins, A.J. Collier and Nell Collier. She is survived by her husband, Roland L. Hays; mother, Barbara Robbins; daughters, Pamela Powe (Michael), Laura England (Michael), and Elizabeth Reaves (Eric); grandchildren, Abigail Powe, Logan Powe, Emma England, Anna England, Erica Reaves, and Elijah Reaves; uncle, Carey Suchey; aunts, Barbara Suchey and Peggy Collier; as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation for Donna Kay will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Teddy Blalock and Michael England to officiate. Interment to follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
