Doris Thomas Bourque, age 75, of Pinson, Alabama, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. She could be described as the godliest woman we've ever known. She never wavered in her faith, and raised all of her kids to do the same. She was an active part of the Brownsville Revival and went on to become administrator at the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry. She loved gardening, cooking Cajun food, spending time with her family, spending time with Jesus, reading her Bible, and worshiping the Almighty God. One of the things we loved most about her is knownig she was always there for us. There was never a question that she loved us greatly. We can't imagine life without her. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Richard O. and Theresa A. Ladnier; spouse, Richard K. Thomas; spouse, Charles O. Bourque; and brother, Richard "Buddy" Ladnier. She is survived by her children, Suzanne Smith (Dwayne), Richard Thomas (Angela), Jon Thomas (Christina); grandchildren, Anne Marie Thomas, Samuel Smith, Sawyer Smith, Katherine Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Kailie Thomas and Kaitlyn Thomas; sister, Alice Aymond; nieces and nephews, David Aymond, Bill Aymond, Rick Ladnier, John Ladnier, Libby Aymond and Russ Ladnier; as well as countless cousins and other relatives. A visitation will be held for Mrs. Bourque at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home in Warrior, AL on Tuesday, May 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
