Doris "Darcie" Warden, of Warrior, Alabama, left this earth and stepped into her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Grace Warden; four sisters, one brother, and a grandson. She is survived by her children, Amelia (Charlie) Hunt, Jane (Bricen) Blalock, and Jerri Ann (Bobby) Tankersley; six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Becky Thompson; brother, Billy Wayne Warden; and a host of nieces and nephews. Darcie was a loving mother and her grands referred to her as a feisty and sassy little woman. She will be greatly missed. A visitation for Darcie will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Friday, January 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Campbell Warden Cemetery on Mt. View Road, Hayden.
