Mrs. Dorothy Mulvehill, age 88, of Warrior, Alabama, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024. Visitation will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home in the chapel Tuesday, January 23 from 1:00-2:00 p.m.. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m in the chapel. Interment will be at Bethel United Methodist Church (9365 Thermal Rd., Warrior, AL).

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Mulvehill (Grandpapa); parents, Robert E. Lee and Ruby Bennett Lee; sisters, Edna Burgett, Bobby Stage, Carol Samuels. She is survived by her sons, Gerald (Karen) Mulvehill, Jeffrey (Mei) Mulvehill; grandchildren, Kristen (David) Kennedy, Nathan (Danielle) Mulvehill, Trent (Geena) Mulvehill, Heather (Timothy) Dorman; 9 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy deeply loved and adored her husband, and she missed him greatly when he passed away. She loved her family and relished spending time with them. Cooking big meals and feeding her family at their get-togethers gave her great pleasure. She loved her church family and working at the church when she was able. She was always helping others when she could.

Canning, cooking, freezing were not chores for Dorothy. She loved doing those things, and enjoyed the fruits of her labors. She enjoyed Alabama football, watching Judge Judy, working in her yard, southern gospel music, The Gaither Homecoming Specials , and her home.

Everyone who knew and loved Dorothy will miss her.
