Douglas Jackson Lockhart, of Shelby, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. His jokes always brought a laugh, and he could always pick you up when you were feeling down. Douglas proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. His proudest accomplishments were his kids. He worked as a truck driver. His hobbies included fishing, woodwork, and watching old movies. He was warm and caring, and would do anything to make his family happy. He will be greatly missed. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Jessie Lockhart; son, James Lockhart; and brother, James "Jimmy" Lockhart. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Lockhart; daughter, Jessica Davis; sons, David, Kevin and Robert Lockhart; step-children, Tina Tortorici and Paul Bryan; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Patti Neely. A graveside memorial service will be held for Mr. Lockhart at a later date.
