Edgar Chester "Chick" Niblett ,87, of Trafford, AL, passed away peacefully with his wife and family at his side on September 17th 2023.

Chick was born on November 3rd, 1935 to Mary and Chester Niblett.

After serving in the US Navy, Chick went on to study at Jefferson State while making a career with Jefferson County Highway Department. In 1960 Edgar married the love of his life, Nellie Marie. Chick and Nellie went on to have 2 boys Vince, and Randall.  At the age of 60, Chick retired from the highway department only to continue spending his time restoring cars.

Chick was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Chester and Mary Niblett, his sisters Pat Calvert,  and Cindy Patterson, and his brother, Dave Niblett. He is survived by his wife Nellie, his sons Vince (Kimberly) and Randall ( Kelly) his grandchildren Victoria, Kendall and Alyssa.

A celebration of life service will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30th at 11:00am. Chick's burial will be at the cemetery in Trafford, Alabama
