Mrs. Elizabeth Sue May, age 86, of Mount Olive, Alabama, was called to her heavenly home, Saturday,  April 9, 2022. She was a devoted servant of the Lord, teaching Sunday school for twenty years. Sue was a baby-sitter for many children, and became known to so many as Maw-Maw Sue. She enjoyed fashionable clothing and jewelry, and always had her jewelry on when she dressed to go out anywhere. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd O. May; daughter, Rita F. Gann; parents, Carrie and Arthur Crittenden. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Johnnie) Adams; son-in-law, Donald Gann; grandchildren, Amanda Long, Natasha Gann, Kacey Calvert, Carrie (Craig) Virgona, Misty (Donnie) Petersen; thirteen great-grandchildren; her beloved dog, Prince. A celebration of life will be held at Bradford Sanctuary of Praise, Thursday, April 14, 2022. Family will receive friends from 5: 00- 6:00 p.m., with service beginning at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Sue's honor be made to her home church, Bradford Sanctuary of Praise, 294 Bradford Rd., Pinson, Alabama  35126.
