Elon Columbus Gray, known as Big E, FatCat, or some combination of the two, was a proud dad and loyal friend who loved life. He cherished time with his kids, Jamie and Andy, golfing, hanging out, and building things together. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sharing good times with friends, and never missed a chance to cheer on Alabama football.

Big E leaves behind his two beloved children, Jamie and Andy; his sister, Elaine Garrett; and multiple nieces and nephews who will carry forward his love, laughter, and stories. His legacy reaches into the lives of all of the family and friends who had the amazing fortune of having him in their lives. He will be remembered for his big personality and his love of a good time.

A Memorial Service will be held on January 10th, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Hayden, Alabama. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember a life well lived.
