Emma Elizabeth Shipp McPherson was born to Lola and Clyde Shipp on August 12, 1929. She died on November 21, 2023, at just 94 years young. She was 94 years young. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy Nelson McPherson; both her parents; daughter, Linda Fowler; brother, Melvin "Buddy" Shipp; and sisters, Mildred Haywood, Florence Sanders, and Edna Mims. She is survived by daughter, Diane Lowe (Garey); sons, O'Neil (Sandy) and Phillip (Tracy); several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren, as well as many extended family members and friends. She loved her family and would do anything in her power for them. She handmade quilts for all her children. She helped her granddaughter, Melanie, complete her Chicken Scratch Quilt. She would make awesome homemade banana pudding. She also loved working in her flowers. She never tired of spending time with family.

A visitation for Mrs. McPherson will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on SUnday, November 26, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bro.
