Ethan
Tomlin
Aug 18, 2007 — Sep 10, 2023
Hayden
Michael "Flex" Ethan Tomlin, age 16 of Hayden, Alabama, went to be with the Lord in search of peace on September 10, 2023. Ethan was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and nephew to his family. He was a beacon of love and goodness in a really dark world. He had the biggest heart and a smile that would instantly light up the darkest night. His zest for life was infectious. He was always first in line to help anyone he could, be it a stranger or kin. He would give the shirt off his back or his last dollar without a moments hesitation. He lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. If he could leave you smiling, he was happy.
He had a second family at Mount High Volunteer Fire Department, where he volunteered his free time, that consists of Paul Gadilhe, Westley Clark, Tim Frye Sr, Shane Wilson, Tim Frye Jr, Amanda Jackson, Alex Ferguson, Robert Sanford, Michael Davenport, Jaylee Davenport, Gerri Luttrell and Victor Garnett. A special heartfelt momma's thank you goes to Michael Davenport, Jaylee Davenport, Tim Frye Sr, Tim Frye Jr and Shane Wilson. You will always be heroes in my eyes. We love you all and thank you for all you do to help our community.
Ethan was preceded in death by his father, Michael Ray Tomlin; and his great-grandparents, Eugene and Dovie Tomlin, and Raymond and Lillian Oldham. He is survived by his mother, Samantha Brown; step-father Josh Brown; sister Ava Brown; brother Mason (Devin) Tomlin; grandparents Jeri Muir, Terry and Nadine Stack, and Cecelia Funderburke; aunts Tiffany (Dale) Hall, Leslie (David) Rose, and Rebekah (Robert) Wilbourn; uncles Eddie (Aubrey) Taylor and Casey Muir; nephew Maverick Tomlin; cousins Leah Ott, Eleanor Wilbourn, Nathan Ott, Sammy Rose, Luke Muir, Elijah Wilbourn, and Ethan Brookshire.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you donate to Mt. High Fire Department in Hayden, Alabama.
