Eva Files Kent, age 80, of Tarrant, AL, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2026.

Eva had quite the green thumb and loved swinging on her front porch, surrounded by the flowers and plants she grew and nurtured.

She is survived by her children, Terri West (Johnny) and Brian Kent; her grandchildren, Johnathon West, Sheree Bennefield (Scott), and Mac Kent III (Nikki); great grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt, Sophia, Sadie, Cameron, Preslee, and Ellie. She is preceded in death by her son, Mac "Boo Boo" Kent. 

Eva will be laid to rest in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens on August 18, 2026.
