Floyd Asa Thomas, age 78, passed away on September 7, 2024, in Oneonta, AL. Floyd was born on March 3, 1946, in Warrior, AL and was known for his strong work ethic and enthusiastic passion for fishing.

Floyd leaves behind his beloved wife, Sharon E. Thomas; his children, Brian Scott Thomas, Angela Lori Thomas Hall (Dwayne), Bonita Foust McCoy (Rodney), David Foust (Deborah) and Rhett Foust (Kelly); his sisters, Nora Lee Loggins (Jerry) and Reba Jo Barber; grandchildren, Kayla, Westin, Patrick, Jaime, Lia, Tyler, Casey, Aly, Emily, Tyler, Joshua, Sabrina, Lonnie and Zach; and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Aiden, Owen, McKenzie, Ryan, Charlie, Rodney, Abigail, Dixie, Tegan, Elizabeth, Brenleigh, Amelia, Raelynn, Logan, Ryan, Remi, Noah, Rowan, Westen, Corbin, Knox, Blythe, Shayla, Addy, Grayson and Brayden.

He was predeceased by his parents, George H. Thomas and Ruby Inez Thomas; brothers, Herschel Thomas and Bruce Thomas; and sisters, Martha Turner & Margaret Turner.

Floyd will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his love for the simple joys in life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. For now, we find comfort in the thought that he has gone fishing with Jesus.
