Frances Jeanette Goodwin, age 87, of Warrior, AL, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Mrs. Goodwin was a special servant of God, who shared the Gospel by playing the piano for 25+ years at Stewart's Chapel United Methodist Church, and by traveling and singing Gospel music in a quartet. She loved her church family dearly. Her love for the Lord was apparent, and that love shone brightly through her music. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her children, Randy H. Thornton and Gerri A. Thomas. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary A. Goodwin; sons, Larry Crain (Debra) and Jay Goodwin (Stephanie); daughters, Donna Wade, Laurie Thornton, Lisa Finley (Terry); son-in-law, Wayne Thomas; 27 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. A visitation for Mrs. Goodwin will be held at Stewart's Chapel on Friday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Stewart's Chapel United Methodist Church.
